The City of Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi, will receive bids for the Shiloh National Park Route
Improvements along Fulton Drive and Shiloh Road for a total project length of 1.02 miles, Federal Aid
Project No. FLAP-9999-09(153)/107193-301000 no later than 10:00 a.m., Local Time, January 19, 2022, at the Corinth City Hall located at 300 Childs Street, Corinth, Mississippi 38834. All bids so received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work shall consist essentially of the following items: Mill, overlay & stripe Shiloh Road from Fulton
Drive to Polk Street. Restripe Fulton Drive from Shiloh Road to Linden Street. Construct new
ADA/PROWAG Sidewalk along Fulton Drive from Waldron Street to Linden Street.

A Pre-Bid Conference to discuss the plans, specifications and contract documents will be held at 10:00 A.M. on January 5, 2022 at Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc., 701 Foote Street, Corinth, MS 38834. The Pre- Bid Conference is not mandatory, but all suppliers and contractors are encouraged to attend.

The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the
contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the
specifications and the drawings referred to therein.
The attention of bidders is directed to the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor.

Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the Contract Provisions.
The City of Corinth of Alcorn County hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The award of this contractwill be contingentupon the Contractor satisfying theDBE/WBE requirements.

The contract Documents are on file and may be examined at the following locations:

1. City of Corinth, 300 Childs Street, Corinth, Mississippi 38834.

2. Cook Coggin Engineers, 701FooteStreet,Corinth,Mississippi 38834.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier’s check, Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond
issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Corinth as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the County. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The proposal and contract documents in its entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited with the City Clerk, 300 Childs Street, Corinth, Mississippi prior to the hour and date above designated. No stripped bids will be accepted. February 1, 2018.

Bidders choosing to submit electronically are required to contact the City of Corinth at 662-286-6644 for information regarding electronic bidding requirements. Registering for a free account at www.cceplanroom.com will enable bidders to view and/or order Contract Documents online and/or complete the electronic bidding process. The only requirement for account registration is a valid email address. Questions regarding website registration, online orders and/ or electronic bidding shall be directed to Plan House Printing at 662‐407‐0193.
Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom Contract documents have been
issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official
list of Planholders maintained by the Engineer on behalf of the City of Corinth.

Work to be performed shall be in accordance with the “Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017”, together with all amendments and/or special provisions and/or addenda to the standards duly approved and adopted, unless otherwise noted in these specifications. The attention of Bidders is directed to the provisions of Subsection 102.07 pertaining to irregular proposals and rejection of bids.
